Great Canadian Coopstar ⭐ CONTEST ALERT⭐ Do you have what it takes to be the next Great Canadian Coopstar? This September, Chicken Farmers of Canada is celebrating National Chicken Month, and are calling on young chefs from the @culinaryfederation to join us! All you have to do is cook and share your favourite chicken recipe, and tell us why you love Canadian chicken. We'll select one lucky winner who will receive their flights, accommodation, and registration to the @culinaryfederationʼs CF25 Conference in Moncton, New Brunswick. They'll also become an official @chickendotca ambassador, which means doing a demo at CF25 and opportunity to create video recipe content for our channel! To enter: 1. Follow @chickendotca 2. Film a video cooking your favourite chicken dish and explain why you love Canadian chicken 3. Tag @chickendotca and use the #nationalchickenmonth hashtag in your video 4. You must be an active @culinaryfederation member Contest opens on Monday, August 26th and closes at 11:59pm EST on Friday, September 27th. Open to residents of Canada only. Winners will be contacted via DM from the @chickendotca account. Follow the link in bio for the full list of rules and restrictions. 1. ELIGIBILITY. To be eligible for this Contest, an individual must: (a) be a legal resident of Canada (excluding Quebec); (b) be 18 years of age or older in his/her province or territory at time of entry; and (c) have a valid Instagram account. (d) be an active, paid National Young Chef member of the Culinary Federation, defined as follows: Open to any person who is currently engaged in or having completed a professional cook training program or any individual who is employed actively in the food preparation industry or is a student in a cook training program. Upon attaining Trade Qualification or TQ5, National Young Chef membership shall be limited to the balance of CF fiscal year in which certification was attained, plus two full CF fiscal years (January 1 to December 31). When no trade qualification has been obtained, National Young Chef membership is limited to five (5) years. National Chef memberships fees would then apply. 2. HOW TO ENTER. (a) There is no purchase necessary to enter the Contest. Enter using the method of entry outlined below. No entries will be accepted by any other means: 1. (i) Instagram Entries. During the Contest Period: a. (1) Follow @chickendotca. b. (2) Film a video cooking your favourite chicken dish and explain why you love Canadian chicken. Post video on valid Instagram account. Video must not be longer than 90 seconds c. (3) Tag @chickendotca and use the #nationalchickenmonth hashtag in your video d. (4) You must be an active @culinaryfederation member By submitting this entry, you, the entrant, confirm that you have obtained all required consent for use and publication of the entry for the purpose of this contest, from all individuals who may appear in the entry being submitted. 3. PRIZES. (a) The prize is hereafter referred to as the "Prize". The confirmed Prize winner is hereafter referred to as the "Winner". (b) There is a total of one (1) Prize available to be won during the Contest Period consisting of the following: (1) return transportation from winner's home, (up to) 5 nights accommodation, and registration to the Culinary Federation CF25 Conference in Moncton, New Brunswick (May 26-29, 2025). (c) The Prize will be coordinated and distributed by the Culinary Federation. Winner will be contacted by the Instagram account of @chickendotca (d) The Prize must be accepted by the Winner as awarded and cannot be transferred, exchanged, assigned, substituted or redeemed for cash, except at the sole discretion of the Culinary Federation. The Culinary Federation reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a Prize (or any portion thereof) cannot be awarded for any reason. (f) The Culinary Federation shall not assume any liability for lost, damaged or misdirected Prizes. Winner is solely responsible for all federal, provincial, state and/or local income taxes, sales tax, gift taxes, surcharges, service charges, processing and handling fees, and all other costs or expenses incurred in claiming a prize. Prize must be accepted as awarded and no substitutions, exchange, or conversions will be made. (g) In accepting the prize as outlined the winner agrees to take on the role of @chickendotca ambassador, which means doing a demo at CF25 and further opportunity to create recipe video content for the @chickendotca channel (up to 4 videos). Winner will receive compensation for the videos created for @chickendotca 4. WINNER SELECTION. The Prize Winner shall be selected as follows: (a) Upon the contest closing at 11:59pm EST on Friday, September 27th. (1) entrant will be selected as the winner. (b) The selected entrant will be notified by Instagram direct message from @chickendotca within 10 days of the contest close date. There will be a minimum of three (3) attempts to contact the selected entrant winner by Instagram direct message from @chickendotca within ten (10) business days of the contest close date. Upon notification, winner entrant must provide required information in compliance with these Contest Rules to the email provided in the notification, and the selected winners response must be received within five (5) business days after being notified. If the selected entrant winner does not respond in accordance with the Contest Rules, he/she will be disqualified and will not receive the Prize and another entrant may be selected, in the Culinary Federation sole discretion, until such time as an entrant satisfies the terms set out herein. The Culinary Federation is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a selected entrant to receive notification or for the Culinary Federation to receive a selected entrant's response. (c) ALL POTENTIAL WINNERS ARE SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY CULINARY FEDERATION, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL. AN ENTRANT IS NOT A WINNER OF ANY PRIZE, EVEN IF THE CONTEST SHOULD SO INDICATE, UNLESS AND UNTIL ENTRANT'S ELIGIBILITY AND THE POTENTIAL WINNING ENTRY HAS BEEN VERIFIED AND ENTRANT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED THAT VERIFICATION IS COMPLETE. SPONSOR WILL NOT ACCEPT OTHER EVIDENCE OF WINNING IN LIEU OF ITS VALIDATION PROCESS. 5. RELEASE. The Winner will be required to execute a release and waiver ("Confirmation and Release") that confirms Winner's: (i) eligibility for the Contest and compliance with these Contest Rules; (ii) acceptance of the Prize as offered; (iii) permission given for video usage (iv) acceptance of becoming official @chickendotca ambassador for CF25. 6. FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM. Facebook and Instagram: (i) have in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered the contest; are not associated or connected with any part of the contest in any manner whatsoever; and are not liable in any way whatsoever in regard to any matter, which relates to the contest.
