Ultimate
Take-Out Challenge
Calling all Chefs & Cooks:
Sign up to take part in the 2025 Ultimate Takeout Challenge.
Every week from September to October, Chefs will go head to head in a round robin style cook-off at the Kelowna Gospel Mission. Each Chefs will receive a limited pantry, surprise mandatory ingredients to create take out meals for the unhoused community.
The final two chefs will then compete for the champion belt at the GALA on November 8th 2025 at Metro.

2024 Cooks Camp
September 10 - 12th 2024
"A Celebration of the Canadian culinary industry, brought to you by cooks for cooks, fostering knowledge, camaraderie and the sustainability of our profession!"
A handful of our members headed to the mountains of Pemberton, BC to attend the third annual Cooks Camp. The OCA team was in charge of lunch on Day 2 where they utilize ingredients from the Foraging activation, Live animal butchery, and other ingredients harvested sustainably from the North Arm Farm. The two-day event that dives deep into everyone’s passion for our industry’s future!
